I’m a serial pivot-er. A bouncy generalist. An easel of expertise. My chosen flavor of entrepreneurial torture is to fall in love with specialists from afar. I ooo and ahhh all over their work, drool over their depth, fangirl over how linear their client journey is, and sometimes, hate myself (just for, like, 10 seconds at a time) for not being more like them.

The first few years of my career, I barely noticed this bouncy dimensionality. How does the saying go, ignorance is bliss? My naivety was my greatest energetic asset and I was proud of it—it kept me fresh, kept me fluid, kept me paid, and allowed me to sell anything and everything while exciting my community’s curiosity about what I’d create next. This is prime mani-gen energy — and it’s the creative culture that feeds your success.

I recently caught up with an old client of mine who's an AI tycoon, and yes, a mani-gen. He’s 30 years, 20 businesses, and hundreds of services deep into his mastery portfolio and his greatest fear is still the ebb of security that comes along when his old desires (which he worked his ass off for) inevitably shift into something new.

He fears the plateau—outgrowing something that once used to be aligned. Right now he’s feeling his service-desires shift and is frantically searching for a lifeline; desperately trying to protect what he’s already created.

I saw so much of my past and present self in him, but the difference between the two of us is that he doesn’t feel like he can afford to relax into the unique energy signature of his success.

And he’s working overtime to prove himself right.
